Chris went to work on December 3, 2018, and never came home. He died after an accident at the construction site. Chris was a loving father, son, uncle, and friend to so many. Chris loved the outdoors! He grew up on our acreage with his older brother, Cody, and his younger sister, Rachael, where they played in the timber, went swimming, hunted, and fished. We loved watching him play sports when he was younger. Chris loved to travel, grill for the whole family for Sunday dinner, was a sports fan, especially football, go to auctions, play Bingo, and be with family. Most of all, he loved spending time with his son, Dylan! Chris was a loving father, son, uncle, and friend to so many. He was always helping others and lit up the room when he entered! He joked around with everyone to make them feel special, especially his father, nieces, and nephews. He was always saying I'm at my mom's. His dad said, "What about me?" Chris always made me feel special and loved saying things to make me feel good and doing things to make my life easier. I feel very proud and blessed to be his mother. He was a hard worker, kind, and loving. Chris is pictured here with his dog, Jezebel, who left us that same winter. She was lost without him, as we are. We think of him and miss him each and every day. There is comfort in knowing he helped others by being a donor. Iowa Donor Network has and continues to help and support us in remembering our beloved Chris.
