My son was 12 when he passed. He had asthma all his life and at 1 in the morning had a severe asthma attack that eventually took his precious life. Kamdyn was a very smart, handsome, funny, outgoing, and happy kid. He was always doing things to make people laugh. Kamdyn was an amazing baseball player, he started playing at the age of 4. He was picked and played for the all star team before he passed. Our amazing town of Perry planted and tree and placed a plaque with his name next to the field he played ball on, in his memory. Kamdyn has an older brother, younger brother, and a baby sister. He loved his family more than anything. There isn't a day that goes by that we dont miss and think about him. Kamdyn left this world a hero, he saved the lives of two little boy's and two grown men. We are in contact with two of the families and it has definitely helped make this process a little easier. Kamdyn was able to donate his liver, kidney's, heart, and tissue. My baby couldn't stay but I know that if he could have talked to me, he would have told me to help save someone else.... that's just how he was. I hope someday I will be able to meet the family and little boy who received kamdyn's heart, I would love to hear my babies heart beat again. The families are all doing well and for that, I am so grateful. I'm extremely grateful for the Iowa Donor Network and all the doctor's and nurses that took care of my baby. Our son lives on through organ donation and will forever be a hero💚
