Endowment Giving

Invest in the future of Iowa Donor Network and ensure a lasting impact for future generations by contributing to one of our endowments at Community Foundation of Johnson County.

Our endowments are permanent funds that sustain our mission by generating investment income while keeping the principal intact, providing long-term financial stability and a reliable funding source.

Iowa Donor Network has two endowments:

  • Iowa Donor Network – Donate Life Fund
The funds from this endowment will expand our reach and increase our impact, allowing us to serve more individuals and families in the years to come.

  • Iowa Donor Network – Emily Markert Fund for Volunteers
The funds from this endowment will be used to support Iowa Donor Network’s Volunteer Program. This endowment was initiated by the family of Emily Markert. Emily was a two-time lung recipient. Sadly, Emily passed away on August 15, 2014. Emily was passionate about Iowa Donor Network’s Volunteer Program and never felt like she was able to do enough for the organization so important to her. Emily’s mother, Liz, promised Emily she would live out her legacy and promote organ, tissue, and eye donation. Liz was so inspired by her volunteer experiences, she proposed the idea of a volunteer endowment, ensuring that the life-changing work of Iowa Donor Network volunteers continues to thrive for years to come.
