The phil­an­thropy pro­gram at Iowa Donor Net­work pro­vides dis­tinct ways for indi­vid­u­als touched by and pas­sion­ate about organ, eye and tis­sue dona­tion to put their finan­cial con­tri­bu­tions to work. Every dol­lar helps us meet our mis­sion of work­ing togeth­er to trans­form lives through the gift of organ and tis­sue dona­tion. Below you will find infor­ma­tion about the funds you can choose to con­tribute to.

Areas of Support 

End of Year
Our end of year appeal runs through 12/31/2024 and goes to sup­port our gen­er­al endow­ment. As we cel­e­brate 30 years of Iowa Donor Net­work, the endow­ment looks to secure a lega­cy of hope and heal­ing for the future. 

Unre­strict­ed (Area of Great­est Need):
Sup­port our mis­sion to save and trans­form lives through the gift of organ and tis­sue dona­tion by con­tribut­ing to our Gen­er­al/​Unrestricted Fund. Your gift will be used where it is most need­ed across the orga­ni­za­tion. Our current area of great­est need is a Sprint­er Van to enhance our organization’s abil­i­ty to effi­cient­ly and effec­tive­ly trans­port our sur­gi­cal teams across Iowa.

Donor Fam­i­ly Care:
Hon­or the incred­i­ble gift of life by sup­port­ing donor fam­i­lies through our Donor Fam­i­ly Care Fund. Your con­tri­bu­tion helps pro­vide com­pas­sion­ate care and resources to fam­i­lies dur­ing their time of grief and heal­ing. Pub­lic Edu­ca­tion and Out­reach:
Help us raise aware­ness and edu­cate the pub­lic about the impor­tance of organ and tis­sue dona­tion. The Pub­lic Edu­ca­tion and Out­reach Fund sup­ports out­reach ini­tia­tives, edu­ca­tion­al pro­grams, and com­mu­ni­ty events that inspire indi­vid­u­als to become donors and save lives.

Vol­un­teer Fund:
Sup­port the ded­i­cat­ed vol­un­teers who dri­ve our mis­sion for­ward. The Vol­un­teer Fund pro­vides train­ing, resources, and recog­ni­tion for those who gen­er­ous­ly give their time and tal­ents to pro­mote organ and tis­sue dona­tion.

Grief Camp:
Give the gift of heal­ing to chil­dren and teens who have expe­ri­enced the loss of a loved one. The Grief Camp Fund sup­ports a spe­cial camp where young peo­ple can con­nect with oth­ers, express their feel­ings, and find hope in a sup­port­ive envi­ron­ment.

Memo­r­i­al Gar­den:
Cel­e­brate and hon­or the lives of organ and tis­sue donors by con­tribut­ing to our Memo­r­i­al Gar­den Fund. Your gift helps main­tain and enhance our beau­ti­ful gar­den - a serene place where fam­i­lies and friends can reflect, remem­ber, and find peace. Inscrip­tions can be made on path bricks and bench seats, offer­ing a last­ing trib­ute to your loved one.
