Education is Key

Of Iowa’s 1.6 million registered donors, 97% said Yes” while applying for their driver’s license. For many teenagers, visiting a driver’s license issuance site is the first time they will be asked the important question: Would you like your ID or drivers license to show you as a registered organ, tissue, and eye donor?” Marking Yes” gives legal consent to donate organs, tissues, and eyes. As driver’s education instructors, helping the next generation of registered donors make an informed decision is key to transforming more lives through organ and tissue donation.
